Is TNE a non-profit organization?

No. We are a group of volunteers promoting  mindful landscaping and conservation practices (a.k.a naturescaping) using native plants. We offer the public a myriad of resources, event access, and native plants free-of-charge.

What can TNE do for me?

We love digging up info on native plants. Whatever we unearth, we share with you:
  • Tips on improving your home's curb appeal using native plants
  • Free native plant seeds or seedlings, when available
  • "Wild" ideas such as recipes with native plant ingredients

What else?

  • Family-friendly events that are free and open to the public
  • When possible, workshops and talks featuring conservation experts and master gardeners or horticulturists
  • Recommended areas to visit for naturescaping inspiration (i.e. local parks, plant nurseries)

What is a Native Plant?

A tree, shrub, grass, annual or perennial plant that has grown in a particular country or region, and has evolved to benefit the area's local wildlife, is considered a "Native Plant". In the case of the US, a native plant is a species not brought to the country by early European settlers.
